Ok, so we have a "crazy" lady who is in the psych ward and won't talk. Years of not saying a word. But the twist at the end is what got me. I actually stopped the audiobook and shouted," OMG WHAT?!?" This is a must-read!

Such a personal and important read for me.

"As the daughter of a mother with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), healing from childhood narcissistic abuse begins by understanding what happened to you and how it affects your life as an adult. I grew up reading every Nancy Drew book my school had available. I was obsessed! I'd read them on the bus to and from school each day. I have so many fond memories of those books. It's never too late, and you're never too old to relive some of your favorites! My goal this summer is to read as many of the books in order as I can. #mystery

What are some of the books you fell in love with when you were younger that you'd like to re-read? Why?

Addison_Reads I loved the Nancy Drew, Trixie Belden, and any horse book I could get my hands on. I haven't reread any since I was a kid, but now I might have to change that. 2y

All I can say is this book was a complete disappointment. Its only saving grace is that the author apologizes for all the nasty things he says about people. I can take a joke, but this was just bad writing, in my opinion.

I hate saying negative things about books, but this one just just bring on my nerves. It's a very small book, so I will the entire thing, but something about the author rubs me the wrong way. The book is just filled with him making observations and even making fun of his bookstore patrons. I was looking for a funny read, but not at the expense of some innocent people who are just being themselves. Shame. #humor #notfunny

The Allbright family run away to Alaska to start life over. No one is happy in the family, until thirteen- year- old Leni meets Matthew. We watch their friendship grow into romance. The last 150 pages is one tragedy after another. Even though there is much tragedy in this book, the author ties it up in a pretty bow by the end of the novel. We not only hear a story of wilderness survival, but also one of unfaultering love. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The book tells the life of Kya, "The Marsh Girl" who has been abandoned by her entire family before she is old enough to take care of herself. Her one day at school teachers her how different she is from everyone else who lives in town. She spends the next several years fighting to survive on her own with little help. She lives in the marsh among her wildlife friends, but still yearns for human connections. Man vs nature is a key theme. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is by far one of the best #historicalfiction novels I've read in a very long time. Set during the Great Depression, we meet a family that encounters so many hardships that your heart breaks bit by bit for them. It is through all these trials and tribulations that we see growth In each character by the end of the novel. I won't lie, the end of the novel is a tear-jerker. Well worth the hype and a read.

Love this book! Jen Mann is one of the funniest moms out there. She tells us stories of her trials of being a suburban mom and wife. From rushing out of the house in pajamas because she forgot to pick up her son from school, to school to her daughter asking if she, too, will have hair on her "china" just like her mom, Jen weaves pee-in-your-pants stories of her life and those around her she just wants to punch in the throat. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The world has collapsed, and all who survived are thrown into another world-a competitive dungeon where people fight monsters and humans alike. The book follows Carl and his estranged girlfriend's cat, Princess Donut, through their adventures in the dungeon. While I liked the book, I think it would be frustrating or maybe impossible for someone who has never played any RPG games like World of Warcraft to understand or follow along with the story.

This enchanting book has everything--romance, rivalry, scheming, death, and politics.

Imagine if the United States never became a Democracy, if George Washington became our first King instead of our first President. This book takes those what-ifs and brings them to reality in modern-day society. This is a great YA book that takes a look at how the US would change as the newest monarch to ascend will also be the first Queen ruler.

I just could not wrap my head around this book. Still at the end of the book I couldn't figure out of the book was all just a dream, a drug-induced psychotic story. The storyline moves quickly, but confusingly. Nothing really turned me off to the point of bailing, but I've certainly never read anything like this in my life. Wasn't for me.
