Went to my Litsy TBR to find this one, which I think is a @BarbaraBB recommendation. Vesaas is quite high on my list of new authors to try. This isn't one of his more well-known works, but sounds intriguing- a murder on an island leads to an atypical revenge tale rather than a mystery 🏝️💀
@rohit-sawant @Cinfhen

saresmoore I want that. 6y
BarbaraBB I am always promoting Vesaas so that could have been me indeed. I hope you‘ll like his books! 6y
Cinfhen Ohhh, sounds good!! And excellent memory #Youth 6y

gradcat Stacking...thanks for posting. That is not an author I‘m familiar with—now I‘m excited! 😜 6y
BarbaraBB @Billypar Lol! @saresmoore @gradcat @LeahBergen This one is not his best though. I would really start with this one or the one I tag below! 6y
gradcat @BarbaraBB Thanks! I very much appreciate your input on this. 😘 6y
BarbaraBB @gradcat Let me know if you ever read one, I do hope you‘ll enjoy his books as much as I do! 6y
Billypar @BarbaraBB I would have added those two, but they were already on it ☺️ 6y

Pickpick

A handsome, strange young man arrives on an isolated and idyllic Norwegian island and kills a girl. The islanders know and take revenge impulsively. Then they have to deal with their guild and the island is not so idyllic anymore. Gorgeously written by the unsurpassed Vesaas.

LiteraryinPA The only thing I read by Vesaas is The Ice Palace, which I really enjoyed during a college class. Thanks for introducing me to a new-to-me one! 6y
LeahBergen Stacked! 6y
BarbaraBB @LiteraryinLititz If you want to read him again, the best is (I think) 6y
hilded His writing is just lovely, glad you enjoyed it :) 6y
