Just a wonderful story about two musicians in different parts of their trajectory figuring themselves and each other out. Also, Parrish's books always make me snacky.
I took a brief break to make breakfast, then hit 3:23 for #24In48 while I ate with RIVEN, then did the dishes and washed up with my audiobook, PLANET OF THE DAMNED by Harry Harrison.
I‘m still loving RIVEN. PLANET OF THE DAMNED feels kind of bland and sexist so far, but I‘ll give it a bit longer. It‘s another from the Hugos checklist I‘m sortakinda working through, when I have a bit of space in my schedule.
I thought I was done buying books in May, but the Book Riot Romance newsletter recced this one today and I loved the sample and now here we are. I did TRY to wait until June 1st, but I have no idea how long it‘ll be discounted to $1.99 and I‘ve already been burned once this week. (Annabeth Albert‘s latest disappeared from NetGalley before I could request it. So much for trying to be good.) Besides, I‘ve been meaning to read Parrish.
