Snowed in with the Cowboy | Maisey Yates
2 posts | 3 read
Christmastime in Gold Valley, Oregon, means hot chocolate, snowy nights and one very sexy cowboy holiday surprise… There’s only one thing Chloe Nolan wants for Christmas this year—and he wears a cowboy hat and is completely off-limits. When her mom married into the Reid family, Chloe found her calling, working with horses on the ranch. How could she risk that newfound stability by revealing her crush on her stepbrother, Tanner? But when Chloe and Tanner get snowed in on their way to a family gathering, it’s just the chance to extinguish the flame that’s been burning for too long. One night. One wish. One bed… She’s the woman Tanner’s always wanted—and vowed he’d never touch. Yet when Chloe reveals her secret wish, all those years of pent-up longing erupt with life-changing force. Now it’s Tanner’s turn to take a risk, and turn one magical Christmas night into the beginning of forever…

Since this was a novella, it was pretty short and that was my main issue with it. The whole romance happened at lightning speed so it felt rushed. This would have been better as an actual novel so that the feelings and emotions could develop more fully.

But for what it was, it wasn‘t that bad. It‘s a quick holiday romance that‘s short and sweet with a little bit of holiday spice.

I have absolutely no memory of buying this novella & I don't think I read the description for it either. It's about 2 adult stepsiblings (kind of creepy) who are secretly in love with each other when they end up snowed in a lodge together while on their way to family holiday get together.

Anyways there are definitely some passionate scenes. Since it's a novella, the story wasn't as developed & personally the main relationship just creeped me out

Lea Yeah...a little creepy. Especially if they were raised as sibs. 5y
CoffeeK8 I can only do stepsibling romance if they either became steps as grownups or their parents were only together for a very short time and they lost touch. Otherwise, creepy. 5y
KrystleTheBookSlayer @CoffeeK8 they weren't super young when their parents got married. I think she was 12 & he was 18, so I'm not even sure how much he was around during that time. I think there are other books too, which may explain more. I know they're not related by blood, it just creeped me out a little. 😂 5y
That-Bookish-Hiker Oh yeah I can‘t do step sibling romances either. I know they aren‘t blood related but still too creepy for me. 5y
