#adventrecommends Day 13 @emilyrose_x
Another series, I‘m afraid 😱 ! I absolutely loved this series, as did my mother (that may be a “tell” regarding the “less violent” nature of these mysteries). David Brock runs a special unit for the Met in the UK (they even have their own pub in their offices!), and early on takes Kathy Kolla under his wing for mentoring. There‘s nothing sexual about their relationship, just a police being another police‘s⬇️

gradcat (Cont.) “rabbi,” as American cops refer to that kind of relationship. The Marx Sisters is the first in the series; there are 12 total. Barry Maitland stopped writing this series in 2013 after publishing Raven‘s Eye, then started a trilogy set in Australia (I found it less interesting, btw). But I just found that a new Brock & Kolla mystery is set to be available in early January...YAY! I‘m so happy 😁😁😁 5y
