Mind Games
Mind Games | Nancy Mehl
When an anonymous poem predicts a string of murders, ending with her own, FBI behavior analyst Kaely Quinn is paired up with special agent Noah Hunter, who resents his assignment. But this brazen serial killer breaks all the normal patterns, and soon Noah and Kaely are tested to their limits to catch the murderer before anyone else--including Kaely--is killed.

I love the Criminal Minds vibes this book gives. It keeps you guessing and always questioning each person who makes an appearance in the story. I did find I struggled to really get into the story, some parts of it did get a bit dull. However, some of the things in it has me curious about how the rest of the series will go.

Kept me guessing on suspects with a lot of variety. Problem was that the clue that leads Kaely to figure it out was buried in a vaguely written conversation and it wasn't apparent that she hadn't told the perpetrator and that he wasn't supposed to know.

I disliked our male lead immediately for throwing a hissy fit about having to "babysit" a very effective profiler who had received direct threats because of rumors that she was weird. ⬇️

CaramelLunacy She is a heap of (understandable) insecurity due to her past, but is portrayed as being so good and wise and a bigger person who turns the other cheek that I just didn't buy it. 5y

This suspense book was interesting...trying to get into the mind of a killer. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Nancy Mehl Never disappoints. Can they catch the killer before it‘s to late, or will Kaley be the next victim?

A thriller reminiscent of Criminal Minds, this book is twisted and entertaining, a wild ride from start to finish. It's an unputdownable page-turner, for sure.

The captivating cover of Mind Games by Nancy Mehl caught me and I had to know the significance of that bench and those trees! Kaely Quinn is a fascinating character, multilayered and with a complex history. Opening with a creepy and disturbing poem detailing the upcoming deaths of several people and ending with Kaely‘s, the chills are there from the beginning. [ 281 more words ] Moonglotexas.com
