3✨ Everyone should have the opportunity to learn and grow in Christ. The author provides personal experiences as a homosexual woman and her transition not necessarily to becoming “strait”, but to getting closer to the Lord and find His will for her. She has resources for same sex Christian‘s as well. No matter what your beliefs I think the authors statements are a good middle ground.

This book was interesting, but I did not agree with a lot of it. I am trying not to shy away from books that differ from my beliefs. It was interesting to hear about how Jackie believes the Christian church misses the mark and glamorizes marriage more than it should. She commented that the goal should be getting close to Jesus, not to find a spouse. However, it was harder to accept that people born gay need to avoid acting on their urges.

This book is a life changer and it is a ministry changer. If you are a believer you need to read this, if you are not a believer you need to read this. If you are a HUMAN you should read this lol all jokes aside this book is the most amazing non-fiction I‘ve ever read. Jackie hill perry is an inspiration in more ways than one but number one is she allowed God to use her no matter what others said…amen

Excellent book! I didn‘t know of Jackie Hill Perry until my cousin recommended this book. I really enjoyed it and I wasn‘t expecting to be so engaged.

Jackie Hill Perry shares her personal testimony with eloquent, transparent, encouraging, truth in love. As she tells her own story of how exceedingly good God has been to her, she shares practical wisdom. Excellent resource.

Definitely a different take on this than I have heard before. I appreciate her honesty and vulnerability in sharing her story. Jackie has give me a lot to think about! #audible #audiobook
