Wanna be "woke?"
I am pleasantly surprised by this series! Trying a new author that is not the typical genre I choose, has kept me completely intrigued and captivated! The 50 pages were a little bit difficult to get through, but after that I have not been able to put this book down! A must read for sure! Not quite finished, but I look forward to seeing what happens next!
"My back, showing signs of the wear and tear from the cross it was carrying day by day, was weary. The earth started to look like heaven and God, a fading cloud.... Temptation was slapping me around like a weightless doll in the hands of an imaginative child." -pg. 89
This book was a sweet tale about family strife and reconciliation. There was a bit of a love story, but I would have liked to hear more seeing the resolve between the two that had a love intrigue. There were also different life struggles that arose giving thought to life and it's challenges! A wonderful read.
