I would not use this book in my class simply because I don't know Spanish and I wouldn't want to offend or butcher any of the pronunciations. But I would use this book to implement to my students that they can do anything they set their minds to.

Mehso-so

Tia Isa Wants a Car written by Meg Medina. This book is about Tia Isa who wants a car and her sister works for all these people to earn money to help her sister purchase the car. This book does have some Spanish in it so it might be harder for some to read who don't know Spanish. Spanish/Mexican stereotypes are avoided in this book.

January‘s Little Feminist Book Club came with two paperbacks instead of one hard back. This is the first one. I‘ll post the second one probably in the morning. #diversity #childrensbooks #littlefeminist #littlefeministbookclub #diversechildrensbooks
