The Third Twin
The Third Twin | Ken Follett
He could be your lover, your friend . . . or your killer. Scientist Jeannie Ferrami stumbles across a baffling mystery: Steve and Dan appear to be identical twins, but were born on different days, to different mothers. One is a law student, the other a convicted murderer. They seem a world apart, but as Jeannie begins to fall in love with Steve, she finds her professional - and personal - future threatened. But when Steve is accused of a terrible crime, Jeannie is forced to question just how unalike the two men really are. Together, she and Steve investigate and start to uncover buried secrets. But perhaps some secrets are best left alone . . . A thrilling, chilling story of hidden evil, The Third Twin is a heart-stopping, spine-tingling story from master of suspense, Ken Follett. 'A high-tech read about genetic engineering, with emotional depth' Telegraph

Such a great author, such a great storyteller! Follett has never failed me! Another intriguing thriller set in the days before social media. Dr. Ferrami is doing groundbreaking work studying identical twins who have been separated at birth. Only thing is, what if there are more than two of them? What if a small group of big shots want her to shut up about it? Read it to find out what is going on! It‘s worth it!

Andrew65 Don‘t know what those poor and low rated reviews were about! 5y
Tove_Reads @andrew65 Never try to understand humans... People should rave about these books, all of them, not just the trilogies! 5y
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads 🤔😂 Yes I agree! I quite often go against popular opinion both ways. 5y

Not sure why this has got such a low rating on Goodreads, as this was another very enjoyable thriller written by Ken Follett. Yes I do love his historical fiction more but he still writes a very good thriller. I recommend this along with all his other thrillers. Some great characters, and a very interesting plot in this one.

EadieB @Andrew65 @Tove_Reads Looking forward to reading this soon. Nice review! 5y
Freespirit I love his books💕 5y
Andrew65 @EadieB Thanks 👍 5y
Crazeedi I've not read this one either 5y

Started listening to the next book in the Ken Follett Buddy Read I am doing along with @EadieB and @Tove_Reads
This will be my commute book this week.

Tove_Reads Can‘t wait what we‘ll think of this one since it seems to be the least liked of his book. Well, Whiteout wasn‘t a smash hit on GR either. 5y
Andrew65 @Tove_Reads And I liked Whiteout so 🤞 5y
Tove_Reads I think it has to do with the books not being historical fiction. 5y

Andrew65 @Tove_Reads They are very different from his historical fiction books, but then I love thrillers too. 5y
Nute So strange to find out that he wrote so many other books! 5y
Tove_Reads Enjoying it so far! 5y
Andrew65 @Nute This surprised me too. 5y
Tove_Reads I‘m liking it a lot! 5y
EadieB @Andrew65 Getting ready to start this one! I see you are enjoying it! How have you been feeling lately? 5y
Andrew65 @EadieB Back at doctors tomorrow to get latest blood test results, hopefully it will show the liver readings continuing to improve! 🤞 Still having acid issues and periods of pain but not as bad as it used to be so hopefully body improving itself. Lost at least one stone and most probably a lot more due to the changes to my diet. It was a good book, I finished it today. @Tove_Reads 5y
EadieB @Andrew65 Glad to hear that the pain is not as bad and may be improving. Hopefully the blood test will agree with the fact that your body is improving. Losing 20 lbs is a good thing. Glad you hear you enjoyed the book. Babysat today and I am going to bed as soon as I finish my dinner as I am exhausted so will not get much reading done tonight. 5y
Andrew65 @EadieB Baby sitting is so exhausting! Enjoy the book. 5y

Andrew65 Will check into how I can get a copy and get back to you. @EadieB @Tove_Reads (edited) 5y
Andrew65 Interesting this one, quite a low rating on Goodreads, 3.69 and some bad reviews on Amazon. Wonder what we‘ll think. @EadieB @Tove_Reads 5y

Just finished my first Ken Follett novel. Fast read, kind of like reading something from Liane Moriarty with lots of dialogue and low in descriptions. A fun genetic mystery wrapped up in corporate crime. Glad I tried it, although I think the subject matter of most of his other books is too serious for me.

"The third twin" is a thriller that is not very known, since Ken Follett is known expecially for his history best sellers. But I really suggest this one, because it's different to the others books of him, it's simpler but thrilling and at the same time it's surprisely sweet.
A sci-fi thriller that you can't miss! ;)

Don't know how this is going to go. Picked this up randomly (as in it showed up in my collection of books and I don't know where from) and started reading today after several years. It hasn't been boring but I'm four chapters in and have already met several extremely infuriating characters. Ken Follett is supposed to be good, so I will probably push through, but we'll see. He definitely is good at writing character that get under your skin.

MrBook That's one of the balancing acts a writer contends with: creating unlikable characters. They can turn a reader off, but if they're essential to the plot then how does one prevent turning off the reader too much. 8y
AlienBritt @MrBook I know. I just hate to spend the whole experience angry at people who aren't real (lol?) 8y

Looking forward to reading my first ever Ken Follett novel.

Coleen Eww...not one of his best, in my opinion. Didn't like this one. Maybe you will, but if you don't, don't base your total opinion of him on this one. He can do better, and has. 8y
pageturnersnook @Coleen thank you for your review Coleen 8y
Coleen Sorry, that sounded harsher than I meant it to. I remember reading it a long time ago for book club & was disappointed because the description sounded good. If I remember correctly, i didn't think he did a very good job with the female characterization. Interested to see what you think! 8y
pageturnersnook @Coleen not harsh at all. I like an honest review. It's been ok so far. Only onto chapter three mind. 8y
