La valse lente des tortues
La valse lente des tortues: roman | Katherine Pancol
6 posts | 6 read | 1 reading | 5 to read

Mehso-so

I‘ve honestly been struggling with whether to Pan this book or not. I really liked the previous book (“The Yellow Eyes of Crocodiles”). This book, on the other hand, doesn‘t seem to know what to be. Yet, I still enjoyed the Jo character and that is the only reason I didn‘t pan.

This is my #bookhaul from the local consignment shop. Anyone read any of these? They are all new to me, although I‘ve wanted the Miranda July book, No One Belongs Here More Than You, for some time.

Crazeedi Oh.my.goodness...you just picked three of my absolute favorite series. Donna Leon. The first one is this, but they are all excellent!!! 5y
BlameJennyJane @Crazeedi really? I@have the book you tagged on Kindle and it sounds SO GOOD but I haven‘t read it yet. I left like 5 in the series behind at the store. Now I wonder if I should go back. I‘ve never heard anyone mention them before but your endorsement makes me want to jump right in. The descriptions sound awesome! 5y
BlameJennyJane @Crazeedi I meant to ask... should I read the series in order? 5y

Crazeedi @BlameJennyJane absolutely get all the books of series that you can!!!! And I always recommend reading in order, the character development and settings are developed in a wonderful way. There are like 28 books in this series I think. I spent a summer just gobbling them up one after another. If you enjoy Italian cuisine, quirky characters and mysteries that don't always end good guy wins bad guy loses, you will enjoy 5y
BlameJennyJane @Crazeedi I went back today and grabbed all I‘d left behind yesterday! 28 is a lot but I‘ve got a good start on my collection. I absolutely love Italian cuisine, quirky characters and a good mystery! Thank you! 5y
Crazeedi @BlameJennyJane you wont he sorry, it's my favorite series ever, brunetti is the best. They get better as you go! 5y
BlameJennyJane @Crazeedi I‘m very excited! Thank you! 5y

Starting my 2nd free (and also set in Paris) book from the ALA convention! I hope it's as great as the one I just read!
