I really liked this. It‘s YA, so very quick to read. The author has some beautiful descriptions. Quickly glancing at other reviews, some people didn‘t like the focus on a servant‘s life, but I really like historical fiction and found it very interesting!

I don't normally read books twice, but I was happy to read this one again! It was a pretty quick read with a nice story. A little unclear at times, but good for the imagination. I would've loved if the relationships had progressed more throughout the story to the end, but it's a perfect balance of romance, fantasy, and family tension of the late 1800s.

I love this book! I read it a while ago and I happened upon it at a book fair recently. I've thought about it a few times the past few years, since I first read it. I'm happy to be reading it again!
