so-soTwo standouts: "A Mountain Walked" by Caitlin R. Kiernan (I swear she's channeling Algernon Blackwood here) and "A Quirk of the Mistral" by Jonathan Thomas. Most of the rest of this is utterly forgettable. Still, I got it at the Dollar Tree before their recent, brutal price hike so I can't complain. Two great stories for $1 is a bargain no matter how you slice it.
so-soI‘m definitely not a horror person. Even “slightly scary” gives me nightmares.
But I‘ve been venturing out of my bookish comfort zone lately, so I thought I might as well give this a try.
As previously stated, I‘m not a horror person, so I haven‘t read Lovecraft. I‘m good at inferring things, though, so I think even without prior knowledge this book is enjoyable. Giving it a so-so because… still not a horror person lol
