Watching Red again this weekend while his parents are Up North. He‘s a cutie, but seems to want to attack my Starbucks straw. Every time I think he‘s forgotten about it, he resurfaces and takes a swipe at it. 😸

In Bookish news, I‘m having a hard time reading lately. Today my eyes are bothering me but I suspect it‘s because it‘s going to humid & 95 and that‘s my least fave kind of weather. Managed to get a few pages of this in, but that‘s it! 😩

Melissa_J Ha ha! He looks like he‘s plotting something. 6y
Jennick2004 😝🤣💜 6y
Bookzombie I‘m so sorry you are struggling to read today. I hope it passes soon. ❤️ The kitty is adorable! 6y

Supplemental bits.

JessicaThunstromNelson The letters tell a fair story, but not one I had much interest in. It is basically a travel log of Laura's sight-seeing in San Francisco. Doubtlessly would have been far more interesting if it included Almanzo's letters to Laura, as well. 6y

And my regular book edition of #fivestarpredictions. As soon as I make a bookish list that pretty much guarantees that I won't read it, but I've been thinking about all of these recently, so I hope I don't do my usual routine. (I should really get on Pachinko since the author is coming to my city in a couple of weeks!)

Thanks to @GypsyKat and @batsy for tagging me. If anyone else wants to participate, please tag me in your posts!

CocoReads Pachinko and Guernsey are both really good! 7y

I'm going to write a real review for this one, including the story of how I came in possession of a copy of this old book. Will update later.
