McDermott is a lovely writer and certainly knows how to paint a scene. Unfortunately, not much has happened in these 77 pgs. I might just not be in the right mood to read this right now. I'll have to pick it up again later. 😊I think I'll start Furiously Happy now.

22/52 Reading challenge. I really wanted to like this book. I loved that the main character was proud of her strength and stood up for herself. However, there was no suspense/mystery. The story just felt shallow and didn't leave a lasting impression on me. 😞
The main character seems to be a strong female lead already. Fingers crossed that it's as suspenseful as it claims to be! #ARC #books #litsy
