Omg this series is gut wrenching but I love it and keep going back. I always enjoy the mysteries in these books but the storylines involving the regular characters are just as interesting. I'm emotionally drained at the moment so I'm not sure if I'll be able to pick another book and continue with #24in48 but if I can't this was an excellent way to end my readathon.

So I woke up with my light still on, my face smushed into my open book and my timer still running. I don't think I got very much reading done at all after I moved from the couch to my bed so I'm scrapping that whole entry. This is where I'm starting today.

#24in48

An unexpected visitor was a happy but readathon derailing surprise. I'm armed with coffee and ready to try and play catch up with book #3.

#24in48 but more like #Illbeluckyifigetto8in48

I‘ve been blazing through this series on #audiobook this year! Small town mystery series with a police chief and female episcopal priest as the leading characters and a nice cast of secondary characters too. The residents of Miller‘s Kill feel like friends now :)

#FunFridayPhoto time! I love this entire series, but I think I Shall Not Want is my fave because it works through times of immense personal and professional change for the main characters. There's hilarity (Claire has bishop problems) and some of Spencer-Fleming's best and most poignant writing in scenes at a church fundraiser and between two of Russ' young officers in the aftermath of tragedy. It reads best as a duology with All Mortal Flesh.

[DELETED] 2232195534 I love this series too!! 8y
Lynnsoprano Love this series! Read the whole see in about a month last winter when I was going through a really difficult time, and was so engrossed. Do you know if she's writing more for the series? 8y
bookishkai @Lynnsoprano she's writing the next book now. I don't know how many total are planned. The next one is going to be set in different years, much like Out of the Deep I Cry. I'm jealous that you got to read them all at once, I keep having to wait between books. 8y

bookishkai @minkyb the new character is awesome! Everyone's comments here make me want to read the whole series again. Maybe I'll take it on in prep for the next book. 8y
raelaschoenherr I‘ve gone through the series so quickly these past few months! I just started One Was a Soldier today! 7y
raelaschoenherr @bookishkris So, what book is she working on now? Also, I wish she had a Pinterest! I want to see pictures of what the characters might look like :) 7y
bookishkai @raelaschoenherr I don‘t remember the name of the book she‘s writing; I actually don‘t know if she‘s doing any writing these days, her husband died recently and he wasn‘t well for months beforehand. 7y
raelaschoenherr @bookishkris Oh, that‘s so sad! I‘m sorry to hear that :( 7y
