Just a little light beach reading 🏖
I‘ve seen and loved the movie but have never read the book. A friend‘s been on my case for years to read it, so I used Christmas break to finally get to it! Definitely laughed out loud on multiple occasions and enjoyed seeing how the movie differed from this.
September was...a month without much margin, if you know what I mean 😆 I‘m so excited to have powered through and be on my way to two weeks of vacation and FINALLY have time to get farther than chapter 9 in the honkin‘ long Lethal White that‘s been burning a hole in my Kindle. Nothing like international travel to give a girl concentrated time to read!
So excited to have finally been able to start this! Fingers crossed I can finish it before I leave on a trip and have to return it 🤞🏻
Finally got to see #Hamilton tonight. I have no words. I don‘t even know where to start, you guys.
Eeeek, look what library hold came through right on release day!!!
Haven‘t done one of these for a while! #friyayintro
1. You‘ve Got Mail
2. Hawaii with my family in 4th grade. Although I have so many good memories of trips with my family!
3. Memoir. Probably even more specifically, the ones that combine food and travel.
4. All the shades of blue!
5. Favorite musical soundtrack?
Just got my hands on two beautiful books about reading! I‘ve been eagerly anticipating both and can‘t wait to dive in!
Magic hour.
Great listen! I was doing a lot of guessing on how things would play out and enjoyed the unfolding of the story. I loved the intertwined stories and especially hearing from the MC at 18 and 36. Some hard realities in this story, but Williams does a great job exploring the emotions of that while also giving some light too. This was an #audiobook I kept looking for excuses to keep listening to!
LOVED this book! It combined so many of my favorite things and kept me guessing. I was initially unsure about 2 of the 3 POVs being in the same time (rather than 3 separate time periods), but I ended up loving that too. Everyone should look forward to its release in October!

Where to begin? Kate Morton's books, for me, are a slow burn. I'm always interested in the story and want to keep reading but never quite DYING to turn the next page. But she gets me at the payoff every time! She's so good at taking all the pieces of her story and weaving them together in unexpected and brilliant ways. I loved all the eras she incorporated and the glimpses of different characters at different stages of their lives. Recommended!
Plot reminder SOS. Just started listening this morning, and I need a spoiler-heavy reminder of how the last book ended! Anyone help a girl out?

READ, white, and blue ☺️ Happy 4th of July to my fellow book lovers!

This juicy, dishy book was right up my alley. There's something for everyone here with two time periods (1914 & 1964), major secrets, family history, romance, betrayal, danger, murder, a lady scientist, and a whole lot else to make this an addictive, hard-to-put-down story. This is my first of her historical women's fiction, and I'm kicking myself for having waited so long to finally read her. I can't wait to read the rest of her books!

Wow, this book was FANTASTIC. At first, I had a vague impression that it would be boring and not for me. I'm so thankful for all the rave reviews that pushed me to pick it up. I was more absorbed in this than I've been in anything for a while. I remembered random pieces of Greek mythology, but I'm not super well-versed, which meant twists on my suspicions and lots of surprises. The #audiobook narrator was excellent and enhanced my experience!
Excited to be starting this one! So far I‘ve read one section from each POV. #ARC #BEA #laurenwillig #karenwhite #beatrizwilliams
85° 5-mile run‘s silver lining was making progress on the Circe #audiobook! ??♀️

Prosecco, a book, and a citronella candle at sunset has been my summer jam this year.
Action-packed, and the stakes keep getting higher. I enjoyed seeing the conflict continue to grow in scope and to see all the stories coming together. Helene has been stealing the show for me in books 2 and 3! But I'm still rooting for all the characters in general and nervous/excited to see where things go in book 4. On an #audiobook-related note, these narrators are AMAZING.
I had a hard time putting this one down! This was on par with Day of the Duchess, for me. I appreciated both the hero and the heroine, and while there was a trope I'm not super a fan of, she handled it better than many. I enjoyed seeing a different side of London and the interplay between the other characters too. I'm intrigued to see where she takes things with some of the other characters, particularly book 3!
Just started this #audiobook last night! So excited to be continuing the Ember in the Ashes series, which has been an exclusively audio series for me 🎧

Could this BE any cuter?! Menon does such a great job. I liked this as much as When Dimple Met Rishi. The teenagers feel realistic and I so easily cheer for them. I loved watching Twinkle learn and grow, and I had a crush on Sahil right along with her ☺️ I didn‘t think I‘d like the journal entry format as much for this particular story, but it worked. And the #audiobook was a fun way to read it.
Altogether not a terrible end to the weekend.

Perfect night for a walk and audiobook!

I‘m really liking this book so far. Better than Cafe by the Sea!
I‘m head over heels for outdoor summer reading. MN summers are simply the best ❤️

1. An out-of-town friend is coming to visit!
2. I was house and dog sitting for friends for most of this week.
3. New York, D.C., Boston (Limiting myself to US, this would be unanswerable if it was international!)
4. Sloth. Gorillas scare me a little bit 😬
5. 86 today. But the weekend is 96, 95, and 91!

Visiting the lovely Excelsior Bay Books tonight and remembering how much I loved this book! And also Chilbury ❤️
Oh boy, you guys. I‘m about halfway through this and WHY did I wait so long to get to it? I think because it was SO talked about, I kept putting it off. Silly, silly self.

Can I admit I‘d never read this one? I finally listened to the audiobook and enjoyed it. I even unexpectedly got a little choked up at the end!
Happily ever after 💗

I‘m dying to know which prior library patron made this correction in my current read 🤓
I fell into instant cover love with this book...but I never got truly sucked into the story. It felt predictable and the characters weren‘t all that fleshed out. I‘ve been in an audiobook slump lately and it makes me sad 😢 What should I listen to next to get me out of this slump?? #audiobook
Sneaking in some pre-brunch reading with my pretty @obviousstate bookmark

Really enjoyed this 2nd entry in this series! Because the last story was about him finally going back to his hometown, that one felt a bit more personal, but I think Harper did a good job of still including some personal stuff about Falk. I especially liked the thread about his father. And it was great to meet Carmen! Looking forward to the next one. Also, I really enjoy experiencing these with an Australian #audiobook narrator.
#aaronfalk
A modern-day Cinderella story! Both Naledi and Thabiso were great, and I appreciated the ways they felt/reacted to the conflicts in their story. Some of Cole's lines were really fun...I especially appreciated her references to "making Disney prince eyes" :) #romantsy
Thanks to Mother‘s Day shopping on the buy 2 get 3 table at B&N I finally own this book I‘ve been meaning to read for a while now!

I was a little underwhelmed by this. It feels like it had a lot of the right pieces in place, but it just never clicked for me. I was listening on #audiobook and kept finding my attention wandering. Maybe just not the right timing!
No spoilers, just a pic of the rooms and I at #openingday for #avengersinfinitywar last night in our rad 3D shades 😎

Eek! I‘ve seriously been stalking this book for months (maybe a year!). The first time I read the description, I was like SIGN ME UP 🙋♀️, and I‘m so happy to be approved to read it through #netgalley!
I finished this but could never really get into it. It was interesting to hide the POV identities, but otherwise this felt like a super typical YA fantasy to me. I‘ve heard so many rave reviews, but I think I must‘ve missed the boat. #audiobook
