Going home for the first time in two years and a houseful of family has meant I‘ve been a little MIA from Litsy these last three weeks. But I‘m heading back to Bangkok - a long journey and plenty of reading time!

Mehso-so

Sal Brooks joins a Vatican backed special ops team that retrieves dangerous magical artifacts that could bring about an Apocalypse. All to save her brother.

The world building was fascinating & engaging. The characters were diverse & interesting. And you can DEFINITELY tell this is a serial w/ multiple authors. The story was fun, but the actual climax of the book happens within the last 5%, with a too obvious hook for a sequel. 🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑

Audio read. Welcome to my new addiction: an urban fantasy about a team of Vatican archivists who retrieve demon-haunted books / artefacts from around the world. Of course they have their own secrets haunting them - and the rest of the Vatican might not be supportive if they found out about them. It‘s a fun premise and I enjoyed the developing relationships in the team. Action-packed with squirming magical horrors.
