Dont Eat That by Drew Sheneman, is a MF picture book about a bear who has grown up in a zoo and now is in the wild and finds himself needing the help of a little girl named Gertie. She helps him learn what to eat in order to get her Wildlife Buddy Merit Badge. I would use this book as a RA. An activity that can be used with this book can be found here: https://www.teachingbooks.net/clp.cgi?master_id=62276&lf_id=9

GroeningsC UDL: 7.1 by creating and drawing their own story map.
ESOL: 6, while reading allowed be sure to stop and ask questions about the bear

YesseniaN I used the activity of story maps for a handful of my posts! I think it‘s a great way to get comprehension from picture books ! 5y
DrSpalding Story maps are extremely helpful for students! Not only are they universal design and English learner aids but they also help all students comprehend text. This looks like a great book! Maybe a read aloud before lunch… Ha! 5y
