What do you say when: you bump into a crocodile on a crowded city street? a nice gentleman introduces you to a baby elephant? the Queen feeds you so much spaghetti that you don't fit in your chair anymore? This is the funniest book of manners you'll ever read!

What Do You Say Dear by Sesyle Joslin was written in 1959 and is a Caldecott Honor book. This book is basically teaching children manners through some humerus situations. The illustrations are very funny and would keep children intrigued. I think this book is definitely timeless and will not lose its great meaning and purpose. There is definitely a sense of cause and effect happening with in all the situations you learn how to react to them.
