Merricat & Constance Blackwood live with their uncle Julian, & cat Jonas, in seclusion on the edge of town. Once a week Merricat reluctantly goes to town to stock up on supplies. Following the trial of Constance for multiple poisoning related deaths, the Blackwoods are social outcasts. Things are turned upside down as their cousin arrives for a visit. Jackson's spin on the gothic genre is a memorable one. Loved!!
