This wasn't what I thought it would be, I wanted more about travelling around that part of the world. Two timelines one present day, and the other in Kashgar which is now Kyrgyzstan. Two sisters join a missionary, they end up looking after a newborn and getting into trouble with the authorities. In London the woman ends up somehow connected to one of the women. This book wasn't for me!

Pickpick

Book 3 of the coronavirus, about a trio of missionaries in Turkestan in 1923, interspersed with a woman in London who inherits her grandmother‘s apartment. Not unforgettable, but fun to read.

For #JudgedByItsCover I'm sharing a book I picked up because the cover was so pretty. Unfortunately the story wasn't one that captured my interest. So as the saying goes, don't judge a book by its cover, even if it's beautiful! #MarchIntoReading

A Facebook memory from 4 years ago. Squeak isn't nearly as innocent as she'd have you believe in this photo...
