The Light We Lost | Jill Santopolo

It‘s been a while since I‘ve read a book that I couldn‘t put down. This was a captivating, twisting love story that had me staying up until late into the night to see what happened next. Spanning across decades, this author has shared a true epic and one that speaks to universal themes of love and loss. P.S. if you need something for book club, I‘d recommend this one!

I read this book as part of my job as a Library Tech 2 for Gunnison County Public Libraries (Crested Butte library pictured here). I‘m leading a discussion on this book on January 24th for Novel-Tea book club and I‘m excited to discuss the many themes, characters and stories of this read. I found this book hard to put down!

I enjoyed having this as a coffee table book over the holidays! Robert Dawson does a beautiful job of documenting libraries across the US. Mixing those with essays about the importance of these vital public institutions, makes this book a pick for me.

A true crime masterpiece. I was hooked from the very beginning of this story with John Grisham‘s impeccable details and captivating storytelling. This gripping tale spans decades and kept my attention the entire time! I highly recommend it before checking out the new docuseries on Netflix.

Lots of beautiful insights in this book. The illustrations and captions were relatable and left me feeling comforted on this winding road of adulthood....

Just in from the library. Excited to read as the cover describes: “An adventure tale, a love story, and a paean to the power of language and literature, starring the heroine as quirky as Don Quixote, as introspective as Virginia Woolf, as who-smart as Miranda July and as spirited as Frances Ha...”
