19 minutes in and this is too religious for my taste.

No audio listening today (I don‘t have a current book I‘m listening to) but made sure to go outside! It‘s 58°!! Big difference from the 2° earlier in the week!

We‘ve been hiking in our backyard. It‘s 2 acres and we are trying to clean it up tp make a clear hiking path. Also in the hopes of seeing deer!

Outside for about 2 hours and all I had on was a sweatshirt ??

Kaye That‘d be great fun to make a path through your woods for walking. Maybe you can find a cute place to put a park bench to sit on when the weather gets better. A peace and quiet place to read ! Great photos, and yes, it‘s terrific to have this warmer weather ! 5y
Laughterhp @kaye That‘s the plan! There‘s a little spot that would be perfect for a bench over looking the water. We have a lot of streams in our backyard! 5y
Kaye Can‘t wait to see a photo when you get it done. 5y
DarcysMom Hooray! I am so happy you had good weather! Looks like a beautiful day. 5y

One of the few suitable substitutes to just staying home and reading. Daughter and I hiked Starved Rock this morning.

ErinC I have a lot of memories of hiking there with my family! Great photo! 6y
VinceReads @ErinC that‘s awesome. We both love it there. Thanks! 6y

Back in 2000 or 2001 I did a section hike of the A.T. It wasn't the most pleasant adventure but after reading this book I had a greater appreciation for what I did and what many hikers attempt to do. This is the story of "Apostle", the reason for his hike, and what he experienced along the way. There is definitely a God message but it didn't seem pushy. I would think that one would have to believe in God to see his majesty and attempt this feat.

Just started this book. A man looses his wife of 32 years to breast cancer and decides to walk the Apalachina Trail. His religious background and the 2170 miles of nature will no doubt make for a riviting journey full of insights about the human spirit.
