Killers of a Certain Age | Deanna Raybourn
post image
Pickpick

Finished this book over the weekend for #20in4.

This was a fun mystery. 4 assassins are retiring and go on a cruise, but someone is out to kill them! So they work together to figure out who. They travel to a lot of places and it‘s a lot of fun. It also flashes back to 1979 with them learning to become assassins and a few of their first missions.

I really love Deanna Raybourn.

Andrew65 Excellent. This is one I want to read. 👏👏👏 4h

Idk why they decided to put the sticker right over the title 🤦‍♀️.

I really enjoyed this romance. I basically read it in a day. Though Grant was super mean and judgmental because she was a courtesan. Called her a whore a few times.

Vivien loses her memory and Grant is a Bow Street Runner investigating the crime. She stays at his house while she recovers. Lots of sexy time. I did guess one of the mysteries and was suspicious of the 2nd.

I finished this one early last week. It was recommended to me by #getTBR (which I‘ve since put on hold).

It‘s a cozy, witchy mystery. It‘s been a while since I‘ve read a cozy so that probably effects my rating. This one was okay, but I probably won‘t continue with any more of the series.

Help me decide which book to read!!

I‘m in a weird mood and my current read isn‘t working for me. So grabbed a bunch of mysteries to dive into!

Ann_Reads I don't think I'll be much help, as I'm not familiar with any of these author. Maybe read the first chapter in each book and see which story draws you in? That's what I do sometimes, when I can't find something I'm in the mood to read. 📚 4d

I brought this on vacation with me at the beginning of March, but my husband stole it to read on the plane. So I didn‘t get to it until this week. It‘s been a while since I‘ve read a Christie book in print and not the audio!

Poirot is on vacation and there is a murder! So Poirot takes a break from his holiday to investigate. A good mystery that I didn‘t see coming!

This one was a bit weird. Veronica and Stoker were on the outs, so they didn‘t spend a ton of time together solving crimes. They actually weren‘t very friendly to each other most of the book. I‘m hoping the next book they actually work together to solve a crime!

Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. And we got to spend more time with Stoker‘s brothers.

I love this series.

Thanks so much Chrissy for letting me borrow this book! It always takes me so long to read the final book in the series, because I never want it to end.

These books just keep getting better. This one Lane discovers a teacher injured and brings her to the hospital. She then subs in as the teacher, so this mystery was a bit different. I finished book 3 in this series in March. I didn‘t want to bring a hardcover with less than 100 pages left with me on the plane (especially a library book), so I read the last third on audio. I did not enjoy this book on audio (didn‘t like the narrator), but powered through. Because I was already enjoying the book, it didn‘t effect my feelings. I think is the last book with Nevada as the main character, so I‘ll miss her.
