Finished in August. It‘s a bit weird to read about Ford and Rosie‘s daughter as a 20 something year old when she doesn‘t even exist in the other series yet. I kept thinking she was Cora but that didn‘t make sense (her name is Willa)…

This is an age-gap romance, but I liked it. She gets hired as a nanny and can‘t stop thinking about the hot single dad she works for.

Finished in August. This is the 2nd book in the series. The 2 MCs met in the 1st book and they referenced their time together a lot. I didn‘t read the 1st book and did feel like I missed some of their history. However, it did still work as a standalone. Though I am interested to read the next book!

I randomly saw this book came out recently and picked it up on KU. I really liked it but not really any smut until the end and just minor. 3 different POVs. Jory is supposed to be marrying to save her kingdom. Asher is an assassin and is hired to kill Jory and Maddox. There is a lot of journeying in this book and building trust. I need the next book now!

This book had so much going on. This is a new series to me and I‘m liking it so far. I liked the different point of views and it really kept the book interesting and flowing. I also like reading these with #littenslovesjm and reading it over the month. Can‘t wait for the next one!

This is the 2nd book in the series. You can potentially read it‘s on its own but they do reference characters and situations from the 1st book. I really like this mystery series. I don‘t read much mystery anymore but some books I can still do.

September #bookspin list! Finally time for autumn reads!

Never posted my #roll100 picks for September! I got lucky and 2 seasonally appropriate books were picked to get me in the mood for autumn!

#botm dropped their picks super early! I skipped last month and decided to grab these 2 for September. Next month is my birthday month, so I‘ll probably grab a couple of add-ons then!

I got to meet Leigh Bardugo tonight!!!!!!

She and John Picacio wrote a children‘s book together about grief. I can‘t wait to read it and the artwork looks gorgeous. I‘ve never heard of John, but he‘s won tons of awards for his artwork! I can‘t wait to check it out.

Leigh also signed 2 other books I had. Six of Crows and the Familiar. 💚💚💚

This book gave me so much anxiety! All Ember does is lie. She just does things without really thinking it through. I read about 80% and had to take a break because she did this thing that I knew was going to bite her in the butt. Finished it up and am glad I did. It was a nice lesson for her to learn but still.

I‘ve had this on my TBR for so long! I‘m glad I finally picked it up. A storm singer gets caught and sold to a pirate. It‘s then an adventure of different pirates on the high-sea. Mary doesn‘t know who to trust, but is hoping a certain pirate will help her find her mom. This appears to be a trilogy. I like the way it ended, so I will most likely continue and all the books are out!

This was kind of a reread because I read it in 2018, but didn‘t remember a single thing about it. I was at the bookstore and the bookseller recommended the series to me. I didn‘t realize I had already started, so I figured I‘d start from the beginning!

This was so good! I‘m definitely going to continue this series!

This was an interesting premise for a romance. Bennet is drowning in her grief and depression. Her roommate sets her up on a date and she has a panic attack before it. She then hides, gets drunk at the restaurant across the street and runs into Henry. They then start to build a friendship to help her find her passion. They end up falling in love, obvs.

The library only had a graphic audio version of this book. I‘ve never listened to a graphic audio before and it was a bit odd. I‘m sure I‘ll listen to another one at some point but maybe not for this series. I did really like this book and I‘ll continue with the series for sure!

Standalone novella about an angel and demon. The demon created a world and the angels came and destroyed it. The demon curses the angel and they weirdly have to work together and through it.

This is book 3 in the Aurora Teagarden series. I picked this up for a quick/easy read. Aurora is working for her mother‘s real estate business. She meets a man at the opening and it‘s insta-feelings. There are also dead bodies. It‘s definitely dated…

I probably wouldn‘t have picked this up on my own. It was…okay. The blurb says its beauty in the beast meets gothic suspense of Dracula in an erotic dark academia.

It was interesting, weird and I‘m not sure if I‘ll read this author again.

This was a low pick for me. I didn‘t realize it was a series! It didn‘t end and now I have to read the next book for hopefully a resolution to the story. This is a real SLOW burn. So slow, they kissed once at the end of the book but still “hate” each other.

Finished the 2nd book in this series recently. It‘s an easy, quick read. I‘m really behind on my reading goal for 2025!

This one has Dex and Mosscap going on an adventure and exploring the world asking what humans need. We briefly get to visit with Dex‘s family, which was an interesting dynamic.

Had a week off of work last week and was able to get a lot of reading in! (Finished in July).

It took me a bit to get into this one, but eventually I did and read it in 2 days. A legendary tournament against different type of vampires and 1 human. This is the first book in the series. I‘ll continue it and see what happens after the 1st book!

I really liked this book!! My favorite read of July. Silla is on the run and hides in a supply wagon for the blood axe crew. She must win over the crew and show her value. They go on a journey along the road of bones, fight a lot of different creatures and other crews. There is romance, betrayal and escaping tight places.

Oops! Finished this in July for #camplitsy25! I already had this one on my radar but picked it up because of this. It was very interesting and I did like it. I didn‘t get to participate in the conversation, but I‘m glad I read it. I listened to this on audio and it had different readers for the sections. I liked the mix of different PoVs, interviews and the story within the story.

So I accidentally borrowed the dramatized/full cast version of this book…

This is a series I‘ve never read before. Should I not listen to the full cast version and get the ebook instead? I couldn‘t find a regular audiobook version on Libby.

Picked this one up because of the reading smut podcast. I think it‘s my first Minotaur romance. This romance had a lot of story, which I like. Aspeth wants to join a guild but women aren‘t allowed, so she needs to find a chaperone. So she gets married in order to join and find artifacts. She has a lot of secrets and is hiding who she is. I really liked it and will continue this series.

Oops! Forgot to review this one. So much happened in this book. This is my first time reading it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Can‘t wait to start the next one.

Finished this on my flight on Saturday. I really liked this book. It‘s got magic, drama, romance and finding your path. There is a talking fox and a mismatch of characters. It was a lot of fun but also touches on some more serious topics.

This was surprisingly very good. I don‘t know why I was so hesitant to pick it up. I enjoyed the story, the characters and the drama. I read it in 2 days!

It‘s been about a month since I‘ve finished a physical book. In July I‘m trying to read books I own, because I have too many books coming in and not reading enough of them!

I really liked this Emily Henry! I might like Funny Story a little more but this one might be my next fav. Set in Georgia. Alice is interviewing a socialite in her 80s about her past and all the drama. Some spicy scenes but not too many.

Really liked this one! I‘ve had trouble reading mysteries this past year, but this was easy for me to listen to (even though it ended up being a really terrible situation). I hope there will be more books released!

Thanks to @Jas16 for telling me this series got better. I liked the second book in this series so much more than the first! I loved everyone about this one!

I only read 7 books in June. My lowest in a LONG time. The tagged was my favorite read of the month.

Low pick. Finished in June. This is more of a fall read, set around Halloween and Samhain. Cate is a hedge witch and her coven has been lying to her. Matthew shows up at her house and helps her plan a Halloween party while learning more about her magic.

Finished in June. This was technically a reread but does it count as a reread if you remember zero things that happened in the book? Originally read it in 2018.

There were some holes in the plot, but overall I really liked this book and plan to continue the series.

Yay! I finished a book. I have been struggling to read this month. We had vacation in the beginning and work has been crazy.

This was my #bookspin for the month. Juliette Cross writes many different types of books and stories. This one is about Una who is a light fae, gets captured and tortured and once saved, her father starts a war. Goll knows his destiny is to overthrow his father and rule the world. It is a Romantasy.

The next book in the Lane Winslow series has them heading to Mexico to find Darlings brother. Of course they run into someone from Lane‘s past and work with the war. This one was really good! I hope she keeps writing them.

Randomly picked this up on KU. I actually really liked this Romantasy. The romance part took WAY TOO Long! Like 80% into the book. The world building was interesting and the different monsters were fun. I will definitely pick up the next book.
