I like the concept. The art is delightfully charming. I'm just disappointed with the writing. It ranges from too twee to a bit blah. I had few expectations for this book (as it was an entirely random grab from the library), but I was still left wanting something more as I finished.

I volunteer at my library for a few hours every Tuesday. I usually shelve in the children's section because there is less chance of me walking out with a gazillion books at the end of the night. Tonight I found these discarded in the children's section (possibly a parent had to make a hasty exit?) and decided to see what the appeal was (aside from the lovely covers). I guess these are my bookish blind dates this week. 😄 #tbrtuesday

This is a gorgeous book - I want it because of what's in it but it is mighty handsome looking too

Pickpick

This book is a. beautiful, b. fascinating, c. funny, and d. well-written. The "stories" are essays based on the myths of each constellation. Very cool.
