Milk and Honey
Milk and Honey | Faye Kellerman
3 posts | 12 read | 4 to read
In the silent pre-dawn city hours -- alone with his thoughts about Rina Lazarus, the woman he loves, three thousand miles away in New York -- LAPD detective Peter Decker finds a small child, abandoned and covered in blood that is not hers. It is a sobering discovery, and a perplexing one, for nobody in the development where she was found steps forward to claim the little girl. Obsessed more deeply by this case than he imagined possible, Decker is determined to follow the scant clues to an answer. But his trail is leading him to a killing ground where four bodies lie still and lifeless. And by the time Rina returns, Peter Decker is already held fast in a sticky mass of hatred, passion, and murder -- in a world where intense sweetness is accompanied by a deadly sting.

#InsectCover #NewYearNewBooks @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Eggs Jonathan and Faye Kellerman are cousins of one of the girls I grew up with and she and I started reading their books as teenagers. His writing was too gory for me at the time, but I ended up getting really into this Decker/Lazarus mystery series.

MrsMalaprop No way! I read this book and most of their others years ago. I was a huge Kellerman fan. 3mo
IndoorDame @MrsMalaprop I never met them or anything like that, but it was still cool to have a tangential connection to bestselling authors 3mo

Pickpick

It starts with Peter Decker finding a baby wandering around a new area of houses. Then to a grizzly murder of 4, and finding out the baby belonging to two of those that are dead...or does she?

My next two books to read from my huge pile. Anyone read any of these?

Bourriquet76 Milk and Honey is good. I loved the earlier Decker/Lazarus books much more than the later ones. 6y
