Dinner from last night and my newest read. I made red lentil + cauliflower soup with a ton of toppings (they‘re the best part!). I love Cusk‘s writing and what she chooses to write about... excited for this one.

I've only managed an hour of reading but finished this short but brutal, raw memoir about life after a marriage ends. Cusk writes indirectly, never quite tackling a subject head on, but in this way she is able to reveal so much.

Lacythebookworm I didn‘t know Cusk had a memoir. I‘ll have to get my hands on this! 6y
Krissajeldy Hope you get a chance to fit more reading in today! This one sounds hard but good. 6y

Loving my gifts!!! Thank you so much!!!! Now I have a mug to tell my BF to stay away. He always bugs me while I read so now I can just put the mug in front of me. ☕️ 😊😊😊 You hit the the spot with the books for sure! And my mini poster is already proudly hanging in my cube. 😍😍😍❤❤❤ #summersantapostal

Pickpick

Had to take a break between essays, for they all gave me much to ponder. This book was a very good read.

From the title essay, on the new family dynamic after divorce: "I see too that we are more open, more capable of receiving than we were; that should the world prove to be a generous and wondrous place, we will perceive its wonders."
