My obsession with the historical Yeshua. The normal human man not the idea of a messiah that is. Bart Ehrman is my favorite NT scholar. 27 books in the NT #novemberbythenumbers #27

As an agnostic, I find it interesting to read about Christianity and its origins. Did Jesus exist? Was he a rebel? Was Mary Magdalene an early leader of the church? Why do people do disgusting things in Jesus' name?

This one and Misquoting Jesus are on my #TBR.

CocoReads @dariazeoli , even as a Christian, that last question is always on my mind. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this book-I've looked at it a number of times. (edited) 8y
Lynnsoprano Excellent choices! I have learned so much from Ehrmann's books. His one on early versions of Christianity is eye opening. 8y
