I wasn't sure how I felt about this book until I got to the end. It wasn't difficult to read, but it wasn't easy either. But it was a good story. And while the end kind of jumped suddenly, it also made complete sense. #27-2024

I don‘t understand the hype around this book AT ALL. It had Beauty and the Beast vibes but with sub par writing. I like how witty Feyre is, although making her illiterate made no logical sense. Why try to dumb down your heroine?! The ending was predictable and the way Rhys looks at Feyre was a dead ringer for the ending in Iron Flame. Book #27 in 2024

I‘m doing a re-read of the earlier books in this series since it‘s been many years since I‘ve read them, but this is this most recent release. #27 in the Kay Scarpetta series

From 1989, this version was illustrated by Cheryl Harness. Overall darker color tones, with the text of the poem in boxes over the images.

Book #27 of the year: “Paper Towns” by John Green

Very similar to “Looking for Alaska” with the mysterious, curvy dream girl who loves pranks and disappears, leaving a lovestruck boy to unravel the strings. Green did a better job of humanizing her and challenging the “manic pixie dream girl” stereotype.

Book #27
5/5
I have never watched a single thing McCurdy has acted in - at least that I can remember. I wanted to read her memoir because the title caught my attention, as did the 80s nature of the cover design.
McCurdy is a talented writer - something that she would have no doubt pursued earlier, had her mother not forced her into acting.

Kris10H Her life reads like a work of fiction, in that she had experienced many things that you often hear about child actors - specifically those with overbearing stage moms. I found this book engaging and insightful, and would absolutely recommend. 😊 10mo

Really enjoyed the plot of this, which is the only reason I kept reading. I found the general writing style and especially the dialogue very awkward and unnatural. Which could be overlooked as characterization if it had been consistent. But it wasn't. Still a cute story, so there's that. #27-2023
