Jess O'Brien has overcome a lotthe challenges of attention deficit disorder, the near bankruptcy of her beloved Inn at Eagle Point and her self-perception as a screwup in a family of overachievers. Now she's ready to share the future with a man. Her friends persuade her to join a dating servicebut she gets no takers! Which is fine with her childhood friend, psychologist Will Lincoln, who's already chosen the perfect man for Jess: himself. Will has loved Jess practically forever. He knows her faults and her strengths. But for all Will's sincerity and charm, Jess fears he views her as some psychological case study. With her family and the town of Chesapeake Shores behind him, Will finally makes his case. But is it enough to convince Jess to take the risk of a lifetime?

Actually a pretty solid week - it's a little bit of a lull with peaches winding down but apples/my delivery route not in full-force yet - that changes next week as I'll be taking over the Tuesday night farmers' market stall plus doing deliveries two days a week!! Anyway, checked several books off the list, plus finished both July and August #BookSpin books. Hoping to finish the tagged book today, but I'm working all day even though I usually have⬇

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) Saturdays off - my coworker is off to a wedding for the day and I am covering the shift!! A couple of these books were my #TrappedonanIsland picks for August. I read 2/5, which was my goal (!) but the others are leaving the windowsill for now as I am not going to do carry-overs with that challenge. Not as many September additions as usual, actually, so tomorrow's pic of the Windowsill of Optimism isn't looking too bad!!

marleed I love this shifting shelf! 2y
TheAromaofBooks @marleed - Thank you!! Having all my “shortlist“ TBR books in one place has really helped me keep my reading focused this year!!! Even if the windowsill does sometimes get a little overwhelmed 😂 2y

1️⃣ & 2️⃣ - My first two reads of 2022, some light relief getting me through a stressful January at work. I really enjoy the Chesapeake series, the novels are pretty heartwarming and easy to read, I enjoyed Driftwood more than Moonlight Cove, think I might have read too many of these in the past year so probably need a break, found Moonlight a bit cheesy!

Pickpick

The main character, Jess, was kinda annoying in the previous books, that‘s why it took so long for me to pick this book up and read it. It was a good story but she got annoying again when using her issues as a way to avoid the man who‘s been in love with her for years. The books are enjoyable because of the big family being close knit and supportive. It‘s like throwing on a comfy blanket when the family enters a scene. On to the next book...

I‘be been wanting something lighter to read so I thought it was a good reason to continue the Chesapeake Shores series. (I really don‘t like the TV show based on the books.)

5⭐'s. I love the O'Brien family so much! Can they adopt me, please? I always love getting back into Chesapeake Shores and it always welcomes me back with open arms.

This story is about the youngest O'Brien sibling, Jess finding love. Jess has abandonment issues so getting close to her was very difficult but Will was up to the challenge. Jess and will were adorable, maybe my favorite couple so far! #chesapeakeshores
