🔟 Struggled to get through this as I felt it was quite slow and I wasn‘t really that bonded to any of the characters! I had visited the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge and had read about the Titanic Orphans there, an incredible story really but I felt it took a lonnnng time to get to it.

7️⃣ Read this during some travel, dealt with some heavy issues but also light hearted and heart warming in places. I would read more by Dawn.

5️⃣ My favourite musician as a teenager (and probably still now). I‘ve read a lot of what has been written about him over the years, so I‘m interested to read the story of his life told by him (via a ghost writer)

4️⃣I haven‘t read anything by Jojo Moyes in years, looking forward to this! There was a lot going on in this book. I liked the characters and the story, and I was rooting for the librarians. My only complaint - I felt it was a bit long winded. It also got me back into historical fiction, so I‘m excited to read more in this genre.

The Maid | Nita Prose

3️⃣ I saw this was recommended on Goodreads so giving it a go. Update - A good mystery and I liked Molly, but I felt the ending was a bit of a let down, and didn‘t live up to the other twists in the story. I would still read more by this author though.

2️⃣ Finished this one in a couple of days, I can‘t believe what Britney‘s family did to her. Loved that we got a sense of her sense of humour. To start with I was a bit on the fence about this book, the style wasn‘t what I expected. But actually, having raced through it, I would recommend this book to my friends.

Is there anything Dolly can‘t do?! I started reading this one when I was on a road trip in the US, including a visit to Nashville 🤠 Picking it back up to finish it now and wishing I was back there, just minus the creepy stalker!

When We Left Cuba | Chanel Cleeton

My second time trying this one, just lost momentum the last time I tried to read it. I loved Next Year in Havana, so I‘m sure I‘ll enjoy this too.

marleed I‘m an auto read on Cleeton books and this was my only ‘meh‘ - and a preorder at that! The descriptions of just how tough life is because I‘m just so beautiful drove me crazy. But I think the author heard those complaints because her subsequent don‘t overplay the beauty of her characters. 7mo

I lovvvve TJR so sure I will enjoy this one, although not sure anything can compare to Malibu Rising or Evelyn Hugo. This one made me cry, emotional read but with an uplifting end.

Hardly been reading recently, trying to get back into it with this one! Enjoyed this one, but did have to google the ending as wasn‘t really sure how to take it, maybe I‘m just being dim or lacking imagination, but I do prefer endings to be unambiguous rather than open to interpretation. Will read more from Celeste though.

7️⃣ I loved Daisy Jones and Evelyn Hugo, both by TJR, so far this one doesn‘t feel as dramatic as Evelyn Hugo but I do care about the main character and I am interested to see how things turn out. Once again, can‘t put it down, which seems to be a theme with TJR‘s books #taylorjenkinsreid #maybeinanotherlife #kindleread

Mehso-so

1️⃣ & 2️⃣ - My first two reads of 2022, some light relief getting me through a stressful January at work. I really enjoy the Chesapeake series, the novels are pretty heartwarming and easy to read, I enjoyed Driftwood more than Moonlight Cove, think I might have read too many of these in the past year so probably need a break, found Moonlight a bit cheesy!

A Reese‘s book club book so I have high hopes, looking forward to learning a bit more about the Cuban revolution too! I tend to pick books that are set in World War Two as I‘m so familiar with that period of history, so lots to learn here.
