Amazing Animals: Bats | 
Thanks to everyone for following along or tolerating my batty posts for #batweek. I was at a dinner party in Colorado, and when I brought up bats, the host casually mentioned killing dozens of them because they would roast in his porch, and he didn't like it. Their unearned reputation as pests, dirty, or just scary can have devastating effects on the ecosystems they support. You don't have to love them, but don't hate them. ♥️🦇🖤
rachelsbrittain I love bats! I don't want to get too close to them because of rabies, but they're so cool and absolutely important as pollinators and part of the ecosystem! I made a marionette of a fruit bad for a 3rd grade project on animals because I thought they were so cool. 13mo
julesG Bats are cool! They are under special protection in Germany. I never even thought of them as pests. 13mo
Deblovestoread Andrew, honestly bats scare me. But I appreciate the roll they play and just try to be inside when they are swooping outside. Thanks for all the interesting info. 💜 13mo
Clwojick I love bats! When we moved into our new house, we immediately took down all the bird houses the previous owner had left, but the bat house is one of my prized possessions! 🖤 I‘ve only seen one come out of it, but I just love it. 🦇🦇🦇 13mo
