As part of a home share scheme, an Asian university student moves in with a 75-year old spinster in suburban Australia. An unlikely friendship is formed, but each are facing their own life difficulties, and with outcomes that impact both of them.
I didn‘t connect with the story as I would have liked, so it kind of missed the mark for me. But it‘s a different story that touches on some of the big issues (racism, ageism), so I‘m giving it a pick.

This is an interesting story which uses and inter-generational relationship to explore themes of self-understanding and acceptance. I just didn‘t feel emotionally engaged but it. And I think it‘s me rather than the book.
A library book on the new shelf. Australian. I started it one morning and got half way through and was thinking how good a read it was. When I picked it up and continued I was a little disappointed. Ending not completely satisfying.
I learnt about having another person sit your exams! Then I heard on the radio this morning it‘s big business!! Also writing assignments. Wow! Mixed feelings about this book. Can‘t wait to see what other people think.
