Guac Is Extra But So Am I
Guac Is Extra But So Am I: A Millenial Handbook | Sarah Solomon
2 posts | 2 read | 1 to read
Navigating the landscape of your twenties and beyond is fraught with challenges big, small, and existential. Though the expectations and implications defining young adulthood have changed dramatically, questions surrounding this confusing and heavily nuanced time of life remain the same. Guac Is Extra But So Am I: The Reluctant Adult's Handbook explains realities of life people expect you to know, but aren't usually spelled out, through humorous, biting commentary, illustrations, and advice from those who have lived and seen it all. Comprised of discussions, guidelines, and advice on everything from the shifting etiquette surrounding modern dating (Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and tolerant of your substance abuse?) to how you should be saving for retirement, and covering anything else that might fluster a young adult, these issues are explored and addressed with the author's trademark wit and self-deprecating attitude. Add in contributions from some leaders in their respective fields, and Guac Is Extra But So Am I becomes an illuminating guide to what it means to be a rounded out individual in a constantly, digitally evolving world ridden with student debt and Instagram "models."

Mehso-so

A guide on how to function as an adult on topics from finances, weddings, and etiquette all with a hint of humor. Did I buy this book because the cover was pretty and it has pictures? Absolutely. Did I find it helpful or useful? To an extent yes! I felt like it was geared towards a younger audience and one who lived in bigger cities (the author lives in NYC) but was a fun read nonetheless.

Pickpick

It's a fun read and a good etiquette book/self help book. I wish I had this book 4 yrs ago, so something's I found myself saying "that we're could've been helpful to know" Overall, a fun quick read.
