I'm reading Plato's "Timaeus and Critias" (thanks to random TBR selection), which has the first extant literary reference to Atlantis, which reminded me of reading this in my mid-teens. Part of my then fascination with all things UFO-y ?, ancient astronaut-y ?‍?, and generally 'Spooky-Mulder-before-the-X-Files'-y ?.
It's all nonsense, but it certainly stimulated my imagination as a child.

Leftcoastzen I liked all that lost cities , Bermuda Triangle, UFO stuff too.🛸 4y
Bookwomble @Leftcoastzen I read and re-read all that stuff: Berlitz, von Däniken, Steiger, and dozens of others. I think that it actually helped my critical thinking, as I came to realise the logical fallacies in it all. 4y
