I enjoy this author for a fun, sometimes creepy read and this one was a twisty romp about love and marriage (and jealousy, revenge, cheating…you know the drill)! On KU if you have it.

Wow, this was sort of unpopular with a lot of people...and yet, I liked it. It felt like real people making fucked up decisions...which really is like actual life. But hopefully, eventually, we get back on track and maybe, just maybe, find the one that we‘re met to be with. Even if the journey to get there isn‘t always pretty.
This was a pretty good book about a woman thinking she wants her cheating ex back but then questioning that decision. Her name is Billie but decides she is going to call herself Wendy & keeps reminding ppl that until Satcher yells something about how her name is Billie dammit and I was like yes, finally! Fun read.
Ugh, I keep trying to like Tarryn Fisher. She's my favorite author's best friend, and I like Tarryn as a person, but I just can't stand her writing style. The first chapter of this book was good, but then the main character just became so shallow and vain and vengeful that I couldn't even believe she'd be a good villain. Also, if I read the phrase "lick my wounds" one more time, I just might throw my Kindle. ??♀️
I've only read The Opportunist by Tarryn Fisher before, but I really liked how she writes from the villain's perspective. She's not shy about the things that can be difficult to admit about oneself, and she crafts it really well.
This is her most recent release, and I'm already hooked by the first chapter. 🤓
