Just over 50% in this graphic tale of a boy with post-polio syndrome helping to hide a young Jewish classmate in his barn. This seems like a reasonable middle grade introduction to WWII stories so far.

The incredible art in this managed to make a holocaust story uplifting and accessible to children, and overcame my initial distaste at the idea of a completely fictional holocaust narrative written by someone with only the most tangential ties to that atrocity. #PopSugar2022TwoBooksFromTwinTowns
Read this for a historical-fiction unit for school. It didn't stick out to me although I thought the story was amazing. 3 stars.
Sara lives in the “free zone” in France during World War II, but her life changes quickly when all Jews in the country are being rounded up. Her classsmate‘s family keeps her safe, and she never forgets their kindness. This historical fiction graphic novel gives a great perspective for learning more about Nazi occupation in WWII.
Ahhh!! I can‘t I started this book like less than an hour ago and I couldn‘t stop reading it! This is such a good book and I would recommend it to literally anyone, just make sure that you have read wonder first! 🙃⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just remember, we are not defined by our mistakes but what we do after we‘ve learned from them. Okay?
I haven't read RJ Palacio's White Bird yet, but I will definitely do so before the movie adaptation with #HelenMirren comes out! Has anyone read this yet? Have I been missing out? #Movie2BookRecs @Klou
