#bookreport this was a good reading week for me. Loved For Small Creatures Such As We (checked off two of my reading challenges) Started a new series with The Bear and The Nightingale ( #unreadselfproject) and listened to Ask Again Yes ( only OK). How was your reading week?
Such a delightful book. I found it so hopeful. Loved the audiobook. 4 🌟
Well written and I found the history of WHY we celebrate in certain ways very fascinating. I also liked hearing how people celebrate around the world. But I didn‘t find a lot of actionable ideas.
Started this audio book today and am loving it!!
An interesting look at how we create rituals, from a unique perspective. I love how Sasha looks at the world.
Carl Sagan & Ann Druyan taught their daughter that science reveals the wonder of a world greater than the limits of myth. Here, Sasha writes with such reverence, beauty, and tenderness about how we can find meaning as humble humans on a pale blue dot through ceremony, celebration, and ritual. Part memoir, part guidebook, and part social history, this reminded me of the grandeur of the universe and the magic of finding our own place within it.
