Looking back, it was an average week with bright spots. Colored was amazing. Thank you for one last rec @ReadingEnvy 💕 Marrying the Ketchups was just plain fun. I did not want to leave that family! The Lioness was a good thriller, too.

Fourth Man was interesting spy NF but probably better in print. Damnation Spring and Site Fidelity are both fiction about environmentalism and low picks.

I just wasn‘t feeling Mean Baby or 7 Days. #BookReport

Really liked Ghost, and Eudora too, on audio. The Prince Philip book was good but a bit overlong for me.

The bottom row shows my ongoing books. How High is, of course, for #camplitsy and I‘m loving it so far. Also loving The Guncle. We Own This City is taking a while to get through….it‘s good but sometimes I just don‘t feel like picking it up. However it‘s got pages of index notes so I‘m probably nearer the end than I think! 😁

Cinfhen Guncle is AMAZING especially since some of your other books are quite heavy 🧡 9h

I watched movies at my friend‘s house and only read a little bit every day once I finished Sea of Tranquility. Maybe on the way home from my friend‘s house I‘ll listen to more of Prodigal Summer!

So instead of some checkmarks, I just thought I would post a pic of the pile of books read this week for my #BookReport 😂 I finished the Lunar Chronicles, including the two graphic novels and all the short stories in Stars Above - absolutely LOVED this series!! The Nora Roberts book included two novels she wrote in the early 80s that were pretty lame but checked off two years for #19822022 so there's that LOL The tagged book was fun but ⬇

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) somewhat forgettable. Definitely have some book reviews coming!!!

Also pictures of the amazing Kitch-Iti-Kipi spring. The pictures do not do it justice; it was SO magical. We got there early in the morning and were the only ones there so we just floated about watching fish in the incredibly clear water forever.

However, glad to be home - so many good things happening here - loads of gardening to catch up on!!!

Cinfhen Yay for the fabulous week!!! Welcome home 💕 9h
Kayla.Adriena Wow! The only place I've been in the UP is Tahquamenon Falls during winter 8h
TheAromaofBooks @Kayla.Adriena - We went there as well!!! I bet it's amazing in the winter! I think it would be fun to spend a winter someplace where they get “real“ snow for the whole season, although I'm not sure I would want to LIVE someplace where they get real snow forever 😂 8h
Bookzombie Great week and beautiful photos! 5h

Feel like I haven‘t done a #BookReport in ages, so…

What‘s Next? Is a cute story about Baby Badger and Daddy exploring. Beautiful images, ok text, and A is now calling everyone ‘My Darling‘ (which is v funny)

Littlest Lighthouse Keeper is my favourite! Henry Mouse looks after the lighthouse, with help from Puffin and Spider.

Six Dinner Sid.. You can guess. Cats with attitude.

rockpools Tahmineh‘s Beautiful Bird is a gorgeous Iranian tale with a touch of magical realism.

And I‘m still working on Lethal White on audio. Don‘t even know where my Kobo is or what I‘m actually reading in print - it‘s been weeks!

Have a lovely weekend, all. Hi Cindy 😘

TrishB Well you‘re still reading 😁 12h
rockpools @TrishB A lot more books than I usually get through! And with WAY better pictures 😁 12h

This was the week for finishing books.

I finished the tagged #KindredSpiritsBuddyRead

I finished Havanna Taxi, the book about butterflies and Remote Sympathy.

I read Galetea and Emperor‘s Babe

I‘m currently reading Checkout 19 and I‘m not sure about it. Does it get any better?

Cinfhen Im about 300 pages into Remote Sympathy - while the subject matter is difficult I‘m really riveted to the story 9h
Cinfhen Hope checkout 19 improves - great reading week!! 9h
AnneCecilie @Cinfhen The story in Remote gives you something to think about. I need to think about this one a little before I post a review. 7h

AnneCecilie @Cinfhen I‘m not sure if it‘s me or the books, but I‘ve decided to DNF Checkout 19 and that‘s my second DNF this month and I hardly ever DNF books. 7h
Cinfhen I bailed on 5 books this month!!!! FIVE 😬 7h
AnneCecilie @Cinfhen So you saying I shouldn‘t feel so bad? But I can go years with no DNFs 7h
Cinfhen Exactly!! Don‘t feel bad - at all!! Sometimes we need to trust our moods- life is short #AllHailTheBail right @TheAromaofBooks !??? 7h
TheAromaofBooks Absolutely @Cinfhen !!! 😁 @AnneCecilie so many amazing books out there waiting for you to fall in love with them - sometimes you just gotta cut one loose that isn't working!!! 5h

I finished Hush and enjoyed it.
I‘m just over half way through Love Songs and love it so far. No reading last night, went to see My Chemical Romance, which was awesome but acting like you‘re 15 at a gig has consequences! Aching.
Champions League final tonight so not much reading either!

Freespirit Your having a busy week Trish..sounds like fun 🤩 @TrishB 18h
Karons1 Nothing wrong 😑 with that 😂 18h

#BookReport 21/22

I‘ve had a tough week yet somehow read 4 books. I don‘t think I‘ll remember much about them in a while but at this moment I think An Island was the best this week and the tagged one the best distraction.

TrishB Glad you‘ve got some reading in, hope next week is better. 18h
