I love the trend of illustrating books - this one is an easy read (perfect for a reader who is ready for chapter books) but I‘m always happy to find a book with illustrations. Kitty is a little afraid of the dark, her Mum, a superhero who goes out every night on adventures, tells her that she is braver than she thinks… and before you know it - a midnight adventure is progress! Stunning illustrations, cats and wholesome family dynamics abound!

Oh my goodness, this book is adorable! Kiddo loves this series and I see why.

Kitty‘s mom is a superhero, and Kitty has inherited her powers. When a cat comes looking for her mom, Kitty has to overcome her fear of the dark to come to the rescue. Her powers are cat-like: balance, hearing, night vision; and she can communicate with cats. Beautiful series starter.

Andrew65 5 books is great 👏👏👏 4y
ravenlee @TheAromaofBooks from right to left, Figaro, Pumpkin, Pixie, and Katsumi, and they are so fun as sidekicks in this adventure (well, one is the victim who has to be rescued, but then becomes a sidekick). 4y

Tamra What age range do you think this series would be suitable for? My daughter is 10, almost 11, and obsessed with anything cat related. 3y
ravenlee @Tamra this series is considered a bridge from beginning reader to middle grade, like a chapter book +. That said, for a solidly middle grade reader this would be a fun series to binge over a weekend for a cat lover. Maybe borrow not buy? The books are adorable and have some mild adventure, nothing life-threatening. 3y
Tamra @ravenlee good idea - it‘s probably below reading level but she loves cats, so I‘ll see if the library has them. 👍🏾 3y
