StaceGhost @bibliothecarivs yes, I know! But many of the foundations laid in this text were ones that Victorians drew on in the later centuries, largely without questioning his findings. It also influenced the ghost stories of the 18-1900s, which Is why I was reading it. Thank you for pointing out the publication date! I should‘ve been more specific in my review. 7mo
