This book written by Carol Jones is a TL and would read it in a S. The book is about a little old lady and old man that make a gingerbread man but as soon as they leave the oven door open the gingerbread man runs away so he doesn‘t get eaten. He runs away from Humpty Dumpty, the little boy blue, the little old woman that lived in a shoe, Little Miss Muffet and the old Grand Duke of York but does he get away from the the wolf? #ucflae3414su19

Stephanie5 UDL: 5.3 because this would be a great book if I make different groups to retell the story in order to know that they build fluencies with practice. ESOL strategy #17 in order to keep them engaged and demonstrate feelings that are happening in the book. https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/gingerbread-men-cookies/ (edited) 5y
DezireeLara I love TL and actually posted a link that shares why it‘s important for our students to know about TL. I also love your UDL strategy and agree that this book is great for it. 5y
Kendylleonard This is also a book that you can use to show students the multiple variations of this story. It would be great to use for a compare and contrast lesson! 5y
Dylanburgett Great book for teaching of TL 5y
DrSpalding Yum! Making gingerbread cookies after reading this classic tale is an excellent idea. Cooking in the classroom is connected to so many skills children need to know including math! 5y
