13 passengers are stranded at an airport. Tokyo, their destination is covered in snow and all flights are cancelled. To pass the night they form a huddle by the silent baggage carousels and tell each other stories.

A modern version of The Canterbury Tales, where pilgrims have been replaced with flight passengers. I wish this was a book of short stories. My favourite story was The Lucky Ear-Cleaner.

Saw this in a bookstore and resisted the urge to buy it. Of course, the title grabbed me, but the modern-day Scheherazade frame is what really intrigues me. It's gotten very mixed reviews on GoodReads, though. Anyone here read it?

Soscha No, but I like the cover. 9y
ForestAvenuePress Ooh sounds intriguing for the frame--and love the cover. 9y
