Welcome to Litsy!

This was not bad. If anything, it just went over my head. I wasn‘t connecting with any of the poems, perhaps because of lack of context. They were very literary and lofty in parts and I just wasn‘t on the same level. They‘re meaning eluded me and made me feel distant and in a haze at parts. I‘m not going to unhaul it though. I‘ll save it to revisit when I‘m older and wiser, in the hopes that the fog will lift.

I‘m only recently getting back into reading bits of poetry here and there. I picked this up and I‘m finding that I really need to take my time with Milosz‘s writing. I‘m finding it extremely melancholy and weighty, pondering meaning in life and nature. It‘s a lot. Has anyone read this collection or his other writing? I‘m curious what others take from his work. Thoughts?
