I don't think I'll ever forget this book. The main character builds deep relationshipswith minor characters making them real and lovable. Some of these characters are elephants which are terrifying and and loyal. An elephant hug would be nice, but hard to earn. 🐘 🐘 🐘 🐘 🐘

During the hunt, you must be absolutely silent

I don't think I would put this book in my classroom. I believe students would be confused on the big words in this book and wouldn't really want to read it.

This book was confusing to me. I can't say a child will be able to relate to this due to the experiences in this book are very unique. The problems the main character experiences are very different as he is expected to be quiet when the king is around him. Children COULD relate by saying that they need to be respectful to elders, but it's a distanced connection
