A little Neruda brightens my day. Hopefully it will yours as well :)
A little Neruda brightens my day. Hopefully it will yours as well :)
3rd stanza of The Dawn's Debility
I weep amid invasion, among confusion,
Among the swelling taste, lending an ear
To the pure circulation, to the increase,
Making pathless way for what arrives,
What comes forth dressed in chains and carnations,
I dream, enduring my mortal remains.

Here I am. Returning back to my great love, Neruda. I figured it was only appropriate given it is the month of looooooove. And the romantic in me has oh so missed his poetry!
"Perhaps [this] is one of those very rare poems you must drown in. You don't understand it in discursive terms, you experience it."
#notinenglish I can't fully comprehend Spanish, but I love the flow of Neruda's language anyway. I have four other books of his, but this is the only one I own so far that's a bilingual edition. His poetry is one of the reasons I've started teaching myself Spanish. #seasonsreadings2016 @RealLifeReading
