I‘ve dug out the festive cross-stitch, which I must have started about 2 years ago. Oh dear. It‘s not just books! I thought I‘d nearly finished - I‘m not even half way!
Anyhow, this is a cozy set in an embroidery shop in Minnesota. Despite a couple of reservations (it‘s dated, what DO they have against young people? and
I did some #audioknitting this morning. I‘m trying to convert a flat-knit sweater pattern into something I can do in the round (because seaming is the worst) and it‘s going pretty well for a first attempt. Hopefully the bust works out as well as the torso did.
Working on it gave me more time with CREWEL WORLD, too. It‘s great so far; lots of community focus and needlework, with a nice human component and a shop cat.
Very much enjoyed the first book in this cozy mystery series. I‘m looking forward to getting the rest from the library this week. You don‘t have to be a needlework/knitting nerd to enjoy this book, but it definitely helps. 😊 I have a strong urge now to start a new cross-stitch project.
Decided to start re-reading this series. I don‘t do any needle work, but this is such a great cozy series!
