Imagine the weirdest thing you can, ramp it up 10-20 levels high & yet you might not grasp the weirdness in this bk. Am not sure who this bk is for but it isn't for everybody. Read this book with an open mind & make your own conclusions. I liked it, just not enuf to re-read it.I'll post a detailed review on this soon. I still am planning on reading the next in the series as it is about yet another intriguing & much misunderstood topic: Kundalini.
This comment seems to be referring to people who, as my friend once said, go on spiritual shopping, people, who go shopping for gurus & spiritual experiences. Who hasn't? In this age of turmoil, pain & desperation??
"Meera understood how important it is to have a Guru. Most knowledge you can pick up from somewhere, but until you put it into practice, it remains as a mere intellectual understanding. The Guru forces you to learn it, he rubs your face into the ground until you learn it, if he is a real Guru."
There are also comments on modern age "gurus", fascinating!
"Has the Kundalini Shakti become so cheap that some so-called godman can awaken it in multitudes of people all at once? Oh, no! Were our Rishis (ancient seers) fools to spend decades out in the jungles working at hard penances to awaken Kundalini and to perfect Aghora? No, the people who think they can buy Kundalini are the fools."
Woah! Strong, honest words! Am barely in the 23rd page & I simply can't put it down!
Tantra is the science of personality. Just as Ayurveda was promulgated by the ancient sages of India as a truly holistic way to maintain the physical body, and just as Ashtanga Yoga is meant to optimize one's spiritual nature, Tantra is a mental science, a meta psychology, a method for exploring the mind and developing the range of one's perceptions.
Finally bought this book! Sadly this brand new book looks like a pirated version, am not very happy with Amazon for sending me this copy. Pumped to start this, it's been in my TBR for long. I want to read a non biased & true version of the aghora story & hope this book gives that. Aghoras have been a maligned group who have been victims of ridiculous aspersions to dangerous demeaning prejudice. Hope this book sheds some light on the truth.🤞
