Crraack! Flash! Boom! When a terrible storm scatters a group of elephants, one tiny member of the herd is left behind in the loud, chittering jungle. Where can he turn? The water buffalo look nice enough, but he couldnt become a part of their herd . . . could he?

Elephants Never Forget is a wonderful RF about family whether you look like them or not. In this story, the buffalo saved an elephant and they became family. In the end, you have to see whether the elephant stays with the family he found or the family he looks like. I have an obsession with elephants so I enjoyed this very much! I think that this could be used well for a CR in class. #UCFLAE3414SP20

VictoriaG There are many fun onomatopoeias in the story that are great to enjoy with students. This book sharing is great for UDL 8.3- Foster collaboration and community. This is also great for ESOL strategy Use direct instruction: Modeling, explaining, scaffolding, name the strategy and show how to use it. 5y
VictoriaG This site gives easily understood information about elephants to give a better understanding to students. https://elephantcountry.org/sites/default/files/2016-07/Elephants%20Never%20Forg...

#RedRoseSeptember Day 9: Elephants indeed #NeverForget. This book is perfect for very young children who would, no doubt, enjoy the alliterative text and rhythm of the words. It is also great for children who are just starting out in school and may feel a tad different from the others, and finding home among other strange creatures such as themselves.
